Our Cobham Link programme provides support to those with mild to moderate learning disabilities, who want to be as independent as possible. The group is involved with a variety of activities such as allotment gardening, choir, drama and money skills.
Due to the success of this, we are starting a Molesey Link and we need a support assistant who can work alongside the Molesey Link Facilitator.
As you would imagine, being part of this new Molesey Link Service requires strong communication and organisational skills, as well as dedication, enthusiasm and energy.
What is special about this role, is that you will be able to help develop and implement a programme to meet the physical, emotional and personal needs of those in our group with a low to moderate learning disability. What you do will make a real difference to people’s lives

About you

You will be creative, committed and enthusiastic. You will have,
  • a good standard of education
  • experience working with people with disabilities
  • knowledge of community care

The Service will be initially on a Friday but could potentially expand in the future and you would be working 4 hours a day. It would be great if you could be flexible in the hours you can work each week. On a Friday there may be the need to work 5 hours depending on the daily programme. This service may also expand.
